Regional Training Course:

Course "Water Quality Monitoring and Assessment “Theoretical & Practical"

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation and in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Drainage Research Institute (DRI) - National Water Research Center (NWRC) organized the second regional training course at the presence of NWRC, El-Kanater, Cairo, Egypt.

• Course objective

The training course aims at preparing delegates in acquiring skills on the art of water quality monitoring and quantitative analysis of critical water quality parameters. It also brings in those aspects of chemistry that are important for water quality management and pollution control. The course covers the fundamentals and basic requirements concerning environmental sampling and general

• Target Group

Young and mid-career professionals in chemistry, biology, environmental science, water resources management, sanitary engineering or a related discipline are the main target group for this course. Participants are expected to have sufficient English language skills. For this year (2019), the number of attendees was thirty-seven trainees from several African countries (Somalia, Senegal, Botswana, Nigeria, Sudan, Namibia, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Chad, Zambia, Malawi, Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, Madagascar, Cameroon, Kenya, Eritrea, Liberia - Burkina Faso - Congo Brazzaville - DR Congo).
