Dr. Ahmed Sayed Hussein Habash works currently Secretary General of the Drainage Research Institute (DRI), National Water Research Center in Egypt. He completed his PhD in Irrigation and Drainage at civil engineering department (2018) from the Faculty of Engineering, Azhar University in Egypt. He completed his MSc in Civil Engineering (2011) from the the Faculty of Engineering, Azhar University in Egypt. His work experience is more than 12 years in water research while working as a researcher in DRI. During this period, he contributed into several research activities and projects: • Reassessment National Water Quality Monitoring Network Project. • Vulnerability of Drainage System Infrastructures to Expected Mean Sea Level Rise and Salt Balance of (Ras El-Bar and Gamasa Areas). • Adaption to the Impacts of Sea Level Rise in the Nile Delta Coastal Zone, Egypt • The Integrated Program for Monitoring Water Quantity and Quality of El-Salam Canal Project (2010-2017). • The Integrated Program for Monitoring Water Quantity and Quality of Bahr El-Baqar Project (October - 2017). • The Integrated Program for Monitoring Water Quantity and Quality of Bahr El-Baqar Drain, El-Qalyubeia Drain and Bilbase Drain (November - 2017). Key Qualifications: Interests are in water resources management, disasters analysis and environmental sciences.
